Thanksgiving / Fortune Cookies

Thanksgiving was awesome with Jake and his family in Idaho. We had a HUGE meal at Jim and Summers house with the whole family. Dad Rainey is an awesome cook and he made the best ham and turkey feast. It was too cold (a first for Jake) to play football outside this year in the usual family tournament so instead they played football on the Playstation.
We brought Hera with us and she didn’t know what on earth to do with all these little kids around to love her and give her food. She ate so much she was sick that night. Hera and Jim and Summers youngest, Brooklyn, were running around together like the best of friends. She would yell “puppy” and go chasing Hera around the house and then catch and hug her - yes lots of puppy kisses were involved (I guess it’s good for the immune system right? LOL). I had pictures but my phone totally crashed and everything had to be erased from it :(!
I actually participated in Black Friday! I never do and avoid the shopping “heck” like no other, but it was really fun this year with Summer and her girls. We went all over the place and shopped the mall like I was a teenager again. I bought a pair of darling high heels and Summer was so nice and bought me another pair of black high heels. I should take pictures to show you, because they are really darling. We also went to this place that is kind of like a Roberts here in St. George. They had the best idea for a craft that I will have to post. It’s these big clothespins that you mog pog – I’ll get crafty here soon and post about it.
Random update on Austin & Skylers new puppy Lizzy:

So I was watching the food network which has become my new favorite channel to watch. Jake I’m sure can’t wait for me to actually apply some of the things I’ve learned from the shows and cook some dinners, but until then ;). I did come up with one great idea from it – Fortune Cookies!

Austin, Melanie, Ryan, Skyler and our cheerleaders on the side Jake and Russell all got together the other night for a big Holiday party to make fortune cookies for coworkers and neighbors. We watched the Griswald Christmas show and had a blast even though we had burnt fingers and severe overdoses of caffeine we made it through. Austin actually became our cookie folding expert! You have exactly 5 to 10 seconds to fold and mold your cookie before its too hard and just crumbles in your hands. We put in cute notes like “ditch the sleigh this year and take the limo instead” or “watch out for Jolly Old Men” or “Mistletoe is in your future” – I know totally cheesy but cute.
Some pictures of the night:
Get them done in 5 seconds ahhhhh picture & okay we can breath now for 7 min until the next batch comes out!!!!!

we did it!!!!

and almost brought Melanie to start drinking...

Happy Holidays Everyone!
