He finally arrived...our new Colt and don't miss the two new posts below...

We were in Twin Falls this weekend celebrating mother’s day with my parents when we received a phone call Sunday morning. Jakes first comment was “its Phillip telling us we have a new colt” and I thought “that would just be our luck” lol. Sure enough he was right! Knubbins brought a wonderful healthy colt into the world bright and early Sunday morning. She is doing great and had no complications other than delivering a massive baby horse. Our friend Chase is studying to be a vet and asked if he could go out and check on him (which was very nice of him). As he was inspecting the colt and administering an enema he was talking to Jake on the phone. He said “this is the best looking horse I have seen all season…he’s healthy and strong ugh…” mid sentence he gets kicked and that ended that praise. So he’s a feisty little guy and mother is VERY protective of him. She flips her body around and kicks and any horse or person who gets just a little too close.
A few of our friends came out yesterday evening to say hi to the new little one. Austin, Skyler, Will, Phillip and his whole family were all out saying hi to the little one. We hung out until it got dark just running around with the dogs and having a great’ol time. I will keep you posted of what we decide on with his name and how he is doing.

  3. Suite - i've learned so much about horses I can't even tell you. You have to do the enema because they acutally have a plug in them and sometimes that plug doesn't pass. Okay so maybe too much info but I found it interesting.
